Where could I find the location of my sensor on my 1998 ford expedition ... I bought a new one but I don't know where to put it.

Follow the upper radiator hose back to the engine. Within four inches of the housing where the hose connects will be two, possibly three sensors for engine temperature. (ECT sensor = engine coolant temp. sensor) Each of the sensors have different electrical plug configurations so you cannot plug the wrong wire in. Unplug the sensors 1 at a time and when you find the one that has the same plug shape, that's the one you need to replace.
