Ok so i am 13 years old and a lot of girls like me, I've matured already but most of the other people my age haven't. I don't want to have a girlfriend because its just stupid middle school puppy love. All of my other friends have girlfriends and they are always like i love you to them but then 2 days later they break up and get another girlfriend in that same week and tell the new g/f i love u and all that other BS. All my friends are like c'mon get a girlfriend don't be a p*$*y but my point that is i'm not and i have absolutely no problem talking to girls and i am totally confident with myself and how i act twoards girls. am i just more mature then them? but honestly, whats the point of having a g/f at this age these girls are barely developed. i can see when im 15 or 16 but not now. who else agrees?

Finally!!!!!! A middle-Schooler who know how dumb middle-school dating is!!!!!! You rock!!! You're really mature for your age to realize just how pointless having a girlfriend for two days then breaking up and getting a new girlfriend a day later is!!! When I was in middle-school, my mom didn't even realize it was pointless for me to date (she is the match-making type of mom) I'm in high school now and I still think it's kind of pointless. And I have much more important things to do. You're the sh**!

Why aren't you in bed? Is tomorrow not a school day? Do your parents know that you are in a forum that includes many adults not to mention adult content? If you were my son I would be monitoring everything you did, every day until I knew that I could trust you to make positive decisions for yourself. Otherwise, what does a child need parents for? Get your butt to bed, young man.
Edit: Okay, maybe I was a little harsh. I can understand your having a snow day, and your answer was mature and reasonable for any thirteen year old; however, I stand by my concern that you come onto an answers forum. There is stuff on here that adults shouldn't be subjected to, let alone a child. Sorry, but kids are growing too fast, too soon, and losing their childhoods while they're still children. You may not regret it now, but some day you will, and there's no turning back the hands of time. I hope you think about that. And I hope you and your friends have a great snow ball fight tomorrow.

You are more mature then your friends. Your pretty smart for a 13 yr old. It is a shame that more aren't like you. I totally agree with you. Just be friends with the girls cuz there is plenty of time to have girlfriends.

what you feel about your relationship readiness and want is totally on you. your friends just want to feel more secure about what they're doing by having everyone on the same page. unfortunately they will have to mature so more to understand your perspective. but also dont think you're done maturing, you'll be surprised how much more perspective on relationships you will gain after you get in one of your own including the fact that puppy love happens to adults too. Your friends puppy love however is just a part of the learning process of relationship that people your age encounter.

Having "relationships" at that early age is sometimes important for people to mature socially and begin to understand interpersonal interactions a little bit better.
You seem to be ahead of the game, so I do agree... relationships wouldn't serve as much of a purpose for you. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders.

Heres what you do. . .
Find the most popular chick in your school you cant go out with, it dosent matter what you think. Break into your local mall or hot spot at night with her, and then get caught making out in the fountain or whatever. But make it all heartwarming and tasteful
At the most youll have to do like 4 hours off community service. BUT YOU WILL BE A HERO AND GOD AMONGST MEN IN YOUR SCHOOL.
the point of that all being, once your top gun, everyone will imitate you. So if your mature, your whole school will "mature" up
