"If you are thirsty, and Jesus is enthroned, drink. Drinking, the simplest act there is, means taking. "He that believeth on Me, out of him shall flow rivers of living water. This spake He of the Spirit." To "believe" is to know, because of His Word. How shall I know that I have power to meet temptation, to witness for Him? Believe His Word; it will come.
Lord Jesus, I take my hands off, as far as my life is concerned. I put Thee on the throne in my heart. Change, cleanse, use me as Thou shalt choose. I take the full power of Thy Holy Spirit. I thank Thee. I may never know a tithe of the result until Morning. "

Question for Believers is a question for those who believe Jesus is the Son of God, i.e. Christians, followers of Christ.

Thanks for sharing this, I have not seen it before. At eighteen I was probably an alcoholic... acted the part even I wasn't.
Good to hear that not all young folks were as foolish as me.
I know the person making the 'statement' is long since dead, but your sharing this helps bring a bit of cheer at the end o f a long day!
Thanks again!!

Well "motheroftwoboys" obviously has no idea what she's talking about. And it's so nice to see her tolerance when she says she's going to "PREVENT that kind of faith" in her sons. How wonderful.

Anyway, I'd never read this until now. It's a nice sentiment, reminds me of the song that goes "nothing in my hands to give, but my life a sacrifice, use it now to glorify your name above all names..."

It's all very emotional. Weird and creepy. All about something that doesn't exist.
Children are raised to believe that stuff, and their minds are immersed in it. Pathetic.

Cut down in his prime by belief, never able to come to Jesus on his own, bound by what he was taught. So sad, no one knows anything at 18 and to see someone who has stopped seeking and questioning, he will never be able to understand another human, or even lead them to Jesus properly having no ability to relate.
I aim to prevent that kind of faith in my kids, until they can choose it, until they can see the world through the eyes of people with other beliefs. Approaching 30 I am just now settling into what I believe but it still changes. I grow, there is always room for change. That poor young man's head is so full of what he has heard he cannot grow, develop, be the man he could have been.

You may wish to clarify that by "believers" you actually mean "christians". There are thousands of religions, you know.

No, I never heard of it , in-till now.
Sounds like a bunch of boring Christian propaganda to me, though.
