The address is an FPO address, so you'd just use regular stamps at the same rate as if you were sending a letter to anywhere else in the US. (FPO stands for Fleet Post Office)
As for shipping anything other than just a letter, you need to fill out an Customs Shipping form at the post office... but the postage is the same.

39 cents. The price for a regular letter to mailed inside the US.
When you write to an APO (Eastern seaboard) or an FPO (Western seaboard), the mail is carried by the US Postal Service to a location within the US, hence the regular US price. Once it arrives at the APO or FPO, the military picks it up, and freights it for free to our folks serving overseas.

if you are sending it to an american service person you pay the normal rate as you send through an fpo, forwarding post office, if you are sending to an address in iraq you use normal stamps but it costs about 75cents . just take your letter with the address on it to the post office and they will weigh it and look up the cost for you. oh, inside the states and fpo letters are by the ounce, but letters to foriegn addresses are by the half ounce i think. so its higher than you might think.

Yep, just pay regular postage rates if it's going to a service member.

just an fyi - if you have access to a military post office, it is free to send from one apo/fpo to another... only at a military post office though and only if your return address is another apo/fpo box...
