Yes, if you don't believe that Jesus rose into the sky like a gentle balloon you will go to Hell.
You don't just burn in Hell, you also rot there. How can you burn and rot at the same time? Well, don't bother asking that, cause you will have worms too.
You will hear other souls moaning in pain and uttering hideous gargles, squatting in the foul squalid alcoves and alleys of Hell, and there will be no sleep and no way to lose consciousness and no relief from the eternal torment.
All because you didn't believe that Jesus came to life after being dead three days, and became a god.
Meanwhile all the church people will go to Heaven and party with god.
It gives me the creeps to think they are capable of such beliefs.

Christianity had a rough puberty. Shame on those who divert the question to our religious scapegoat of the day, Islam.
Organized religion is in itself a fallacy. An organization run by man can never be absolute. I'm more of the "love the higher power in my own way" and don't be an @sshole kind of guy.
While you're question is in some way valid it also shows proof of a deeper pain that this religion has cast on you. While I understand some of your points of view I will say that I disagree with your verbal assault. There is no doubt that organized religions helps people in their own world (fanatacism aside) and that some people feel a spiritual gap that religion fulfills and they are happy with it.
Who are you to call that ridiculous? Don't you understand that you have become what you hate about stereotypical christians or the few that you've spoken to? Don't you see that the majority of christians who have responded your question have gracefully brushed off your blatantly insulting one of the most important aspects of their lives?
Religion may not be your or my thing but that doesn't excuse calling someone else's belief "B.S. and Cruelty and brainwash" and there will be christians refuting your statement. Life will continue.
I think you should pause and introspect to find what's really hurting you.
Respect is earned, not won

The question what do you think about Christianity?. I think that Yahoo looks at that like dating or something. It might not have been the people. I don't know. Then again it might have been. I was raised to believe in God but we did not go to church but a few time. We left when the preacher started saying women were the root of all evil and so on. My mother did not take that too kindly and we left before we got in to all that Males better than females bull hockey. As I got older and read more of the bible and saw just how full of hate and violence it had. I knew I could not follow a book that let women be raped to death and then cut up all to save a man's skin.
That being said I know many people of different faiths that are all good and kind that includes Christians. So how I feel about them is not important. Its how they feel about it.

kris: I am a Christian, and I do not believe in a "hell fire" . Don't misconstrue "Christianity" (spirituality) with that of "religion". Like saying that all Vietnamese people during the Viet Nam war were Communists. There is a hugh difference ! One is a way of life; whereas, the other is a man-made ideology of emotionalism founded on some bad theology. Remember; like with all murder and mass homicide, science has produced the weapons and people kill people !!! Stalin, Pol Pot, Hitler were all "religious" but not Christians and they make the blood of Agnostics, Atheists and Christians, alike flow through the pages of history ! Further; Christians do NOT go to Heaven when he or she dies. Thank you !

Your question is perfect hay I got one for you what about their king James version ?~! Your great really! they have the biggest problem ever with this religion they call and pray to a man as god and this is why and where the problem lies, aw don't forget about the books which makes most since are the ones they banned from being included in the bible wait dig this the Revelations now Who but a drunk could have written that mess and why did it take 3 or 4 men to tell the same story about Christ huh??
What in the world is this I say to my self!
the ones whom formed the books and said what was acceptable in the new testament really did a job at messing a great old testament up added it to this book hay I recommend every one own the Torah what a great book really leave that kjv bible alone it is I hot mess!

Gandhi once said something to the effect of, "I have no quarrel with Christ, its just that His followers are so unlike their leader." I think of this quote often and it never fails to sadden me.
I believe a lot of Christians get so caught up in doctrine, laws, and morality that they forget it was all supposed to be about love, acceptance, and hope. As a result, they end up looking and acting just like everybody else (or worse) and who would want a faith like that? I guess ultimately you have to judge a faith based on its merit alone not those of its followers; they are just flawed, human, and forgetful.

yup pretty much gotta agree here. Christians are evil, mean, racist people. If you don't believe in what they are telling you, you are going to hell for the rest of yoru life. Soooo you better be saved!! (that doesn't sound like they are trying to scare you at all does it?!) Proof of religion in general being brainwashing? Look at countries like brazil, so there is individual free thought and yet the country is 90% 1 religion? riiiiiigth. If an entire country were really free thinking, you wouldn't get a 90% agreement rate about ANYTHING.

i think of a few human beings communicate with faith as "brainwashing" because of the fact they individually experience they have been inspired via relatives and society (predominately from an early age) to have faith in a faith they might now no longer thoroughly have faith in. consequently, those human beings are left with a feeling of being wrongly inspired via the very comparable human beings they have faith. The term "brainwashing" is obviously an exceedingly destructive term to throw around, and could be incredibly of an over-exaggeration, yet human beings hence are many times describing the term from a private point.

False religion which includes almost all of religion is actually condemed by God. From Catholics to muslims.
Man has used God to control the masses and as it was before the flood the time has come for God to destory religion.
He said he regretted making man in the first place because the earth was full of violence because of them.
Looks to me like they are there again.

The Judeo-Christian theme of crime and punishment (ie "Hell") came about because the Jews were slaves of Egypt.
Try being a victim of generational religious abuse and persecution just for being Jewish and come out the other end not believing in retribution then talk to me about your 'sensible' alternative, touchy-feely belief system.
