Saying you are light skin does not help that much. Since it is not specific since there is a variety of light skinned people. Do you mean light skin as in Gina from Martin light (bright light) or more like Sanaa Lathan(light brown)?

Are you African American, Hispanic or of mixed heritage? What texture is your hair? Do you have to dye it?! When people of color with a more coarse hair texture dye their hair they risk breakage and severe damage.

I would say a light brown color perhaps honey blonde highlights.

I think light red is a beautiful color for a light skinned person. My niece's hair is naturally that color and everybody loves it.

its best to color yr hair wif highlights that would compliment ur features and completion. The color though, depends on what sort of color that suits you.

Also, its best to ask for advice from a good stylist and the way to shade ur locks,... And, instead of getting it done in an expensive saloon, get it done in a reasonable priced one. I did this trick, after asking an expert on the suitable highlights n ways to shade my hair.

It all depends on the undertones of your skin. You say you have light skin, but do you have pink undertones or yellow? If you have pink undertones, you need to stay away from golden or warm colors (ex. light golden brown), and you would look better with colors that have the words ash, natural or neutral in them (ex. light ash blond). If you have yellow undertones you need to stay away from the ashy colors because they can make you look washed out. With yellow undertones, you have more options.

if its your first time coloring your hair just go a shade or two darker or lighter
