Put a blindfold on your eyes and try to find your way around and try to do the things that you would normally do if you were not blindfolded. That should answer your question.

I notice when I look at my cats they look at me... eye to eye. Same with dogs.

you need them in order to smell... come on, you dont know what the eyes do? i bet you dont know what the brain is for either..
