In my particular instance, I know God exists because His spirit lives within me. When I accepted God/Christ I actually had a change occur within me that still remains today. It is more than just faith...in fact, I don't call it faith because I KNOW that he is there. I really can't explain it fully so that you could understand. If someone had told me this before it happened, I would not have believed them either. Religion is not what it is all about. You can be very religious and not be walking with God. I am probably not the most religious person but I KNOW HE walks with me all the time. It is an actual physical difference in me.

Proof that God exist.
When you look at a building, how do you know there was a builder? You haven't seen the builder, or heard him or touched him. But, you know there is a builder because the building is proof that there was a builder. You don't need faith, just eyes that can see and a brain that works.
What about a painting? How do you know there was a painter? Well, the painting is proof that there was a painter. You couldn't ask for better proof that a painter exist. It doesn't take faith, just eyes that can see and a brain that works.
When you look at creation, how do we know there was a creator? Well, creation is proof enough that a creator exist. You couldn't ask for better proof of a creator than the creation itself. It doesn't take faith, just eyes that can see and a brain that works.

Nobody "knows" if god exists or not. People only "believe" that god exists or doesn't. I do believe much like you, that a higher being, creator, designer, whatever, does exist. I do not believe, however, that this deity has revealed himself in any type of revealed religion. Religion is the creation of man.
I am a Deist, and believe that God can only be found in his genuine creation, nature. Science is not the enemy of God. Science IS the study of God's creation.

I don't know, I'll be honest, but for now I have faith that I'll find out and the likelihood is there is some sort of higher power. I'm in no position to pretend like I know and have nothing to back it up.

If God does Not exist, a person Loses Nothing by believing He does;
If God Does exist, a person wins Eternal Life by believing He does.
Nothing to Lose and everything to Win

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!
Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!
Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?
My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:
Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...
Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...
Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

Exactly. For the things of God are clearly seen through nature itself, so that we are without excuse. That is how I know.

I'm pretty sure that there is no God.
Higher power? Than what? What do you mean power? Higher force? Force of what?
There's a lot we don't understand, but I don't ascribe human emotion to the nature of the universe.

The fact that you don't understand it doesn't mean it's not so.
I don't understand the relativity involved in satellite technology, but I do know that my tv works, my cell phone works, my gps works.
Just a thought...

How do you know that air exists? What about radio waves, or even love? How do you know your feelings exist? You know it in your heart.
