Well considering that James Watt, the Secretary of the Interior under Ronald Reagan, in charge of our nation's environmental legacy, believed that we didn't need to protect the environment at all because the "second coming" was imminent- No!

Today though, more and more of those churches who call themselves "evangelical" are at least becoming concerned about global climate change, perhaps because they worry that this might affect everyone, not just us heathens "left behind," before any heavenly time-table kicks in . . . however, if they and their followers had only gotten the faith when more liberal faiths became involved we might be farther ahead in the battle.
If they can just work on that guy in the WH . . . whichever one is in charge.

I'm one evangelical Christian who believes the Rapture will occur AFTER the Tribulation, not before it like the people you're referring to. I kinda wonder how much pre-tribbers will flip out if they're here when the Tribulation rolls around. Check out the first link below for an article about the Rapture occurring after the Tribulation, not before.

To answer your question, you can trust me with long-term planning because I don't think the Second Coming is imminent. :-)

expensive buddy, sure, that's actual that born returned believers...comprehend that there is a Rapture. So, does that recommend anybody who believes is to in basic terms close down their lives and WAIT? extremely not. no one is conscious whilst the Rapture is going to ensue and consequently, there is not something incorrect with residing superb alongside. And think those people who've trusts, wills, retirement plans etc die in the previous the Rapture ever happens. a minimum of their survivors can do besides the fact that they % to do with the textile issues. We easily will not be able to take them with us. There are actually not any U-Haul autos at the back of a hearse. the secret is being "waiting" for the Rapture. that would not recommend materialistically, it skill "spiritually."

Political leaders who believe invisible beings are speaking to them and telling them what action to take are fanatics, they are supposed to be listening to the electorate and taking the action we want them to take in a democracy.

People who believe they are about to be raptured are not going to be concerned with the legacy they leave the next generation, it's very arrogant and self-indulgent, an irresponsible way to live.

Yes because enev though we feel it is eminent we truly do not know the day or hour of Christ's return...

Mat 25:13 Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of Man comes.

Technically, no, they can't be trusted. But I'm sure it violates some anti-discrimination law so you will have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Yes, because no one knows for sure when the Lord is coming so we must live our lives as we would until he arrives.
