Now that's a hard one, do you mean best as far as Zagats, as in the most stars, and the best meals you can get for the most money, or are you looking for favorite restaurants that people like to eat at, and can usually afford.
My favorites, which range all over the place in prices are, City Hall, Vong, Docks, Barking Dog, Aurole, Grammercy Tavern, The Coffee Shop, well, I could probably keep going, but that's a good start.
