He has every right to dump you.
Is he on this planet to please you? No! Tell guys your resolution before you lead them on.
And why no sex? One less woman to screw up a man's life I guess. Cheers.

Don't listen to the others. If you don't want ot have sex then that's up to you. On one hand it may come off a bit intimidating to say it right away that it's "no sex or the highway", but definitely stand your ground. Not all guys are in relationships for sex. I just started one and I'm a virgin. I'd like to see where things go but sex is the last thing onmy mind. In fact I"m afraid that she'll end it becaus ei"ve never had sex before, so maybe sex isnt' always just on guys' minds.

don't know the specifics... but i probably would have dumped you too, but not just because i want to get laid..... when you resolved to go the year without sex, you were single and it apllied to sex outside a relationship... which is probably a good thing to hold off on.... by telling your bf this, you are saying that you plan to hold to this based on an arbitrary premis, with no consideration to the relationship... you are making the relationship secondary to a superficial concept.... not saying you should have sex with the guy, just saying that that decision should not be based on something so trivial...... who keeps all thier new years resolutions?!?! of course... only febuary, so this guy might have just been dating you to get some, and as such the curb is a good place for him.

If you don't want to have sex thats great. Tough goals are the most worth while. However why do you want a boyfriend? The diffrence between a friend and a boyfriend is sexual. So yes, all men who you date will want to have sex with you. If you haven't learned that already you should pay more attention. Sexuality is almost the most powerfull force in nature. To try and deny that is pure foolishness.
So try this, if you don't need sex then you don't need a boyfriend.

try another resolution something that women are into, not having sex is too easy for you cuz you're a woman and women don't like sex,why don't you try not hating men or not shopping or not using the phone to talk to your friends about non important things, pick a new years rsolution that is hard for women to keep.

Well, not all relationships must have sex in it.
Old people say, sex is only for the married.
Well, its 2007. I guess no one believes in tradition anymore.
Kids watch too much tv these days. And act as if premarital sex is ok.

most guys are gonna be like that but there will be a few that want a relationship and will stick with you depending on some things like the way u look, if the guy is used to getting some,if you give him other things instead of sex know wut i mean, thats why i say some will stick with you. And anyways u know as soon as u get into a relationship after a couple of months you'l give him some, cuz youve had some before and forsure u like it too nobody lasts a year if u feelin him and he feelin u know wut i mean,....... late!

You shouldn't have a b/f for just sex. But sex does come into play after a while. I don't know if it is a good idea to tell them it will be a year before you have sex, you can just put it off and see how it goes. i don't know if you mean all sex or just intercourse, If it is all sex, good luck:)

What do you want a boyfriend for if you don't want to have sex? Not that you have to have sex. I don't have a girlfriend because I don't want to use them just for sex. So I choose not to have a girlfriend. That is the only reason why guys want girlfriends, sorry to burst your bubble.
When a girls says that she wants a guy to "like her for her", what the hell does that mean anyway? We have other guys to be friends with. We don't want or need girls "just to be friends", that's gay.

Well, I have to say that you chose an unusual resolution. if you can keep it, more power to you.
You're going to have to put some thought into this one. You don't need a traditional "boyfriend". Maybe just a friend.

'You have to live your life to suit yourself. Any boyfriend should be proud of you and understand that a commitment to yourself is the most important commitment a person can make. If you cant keep your promises to yourself then how can you keep a promise to anyone else?? The most important words in this answer are "your life" - it is your life and you don't have to change your morals or your convictions for anyone. If you set your standards high I am certain that the right kind of boyfriend will come along and he will be just as happy with you as you will be with yourself.
