I walked down the isle to "i will not be able to help falling in love with you" by skill of Elvis Presley. humorous subject- My buddy musician did this track for our wedding ceremony and for practice consultation night I talked him into enjoying "i'm leaving on a Jet airplane" just to work out how my fiance (husband now) would react...took him some seconds to capture on..yet all my bridesmaids caught on superb away and have been giggling..it eased the strain of the practice consultation

I was going to suggest Canon in D, but it's been mentioned.
How about Ode to Joy?
Or you could purchase a wedding song book; there are several nice traditional tunes in those.
My son, in keeping with the Scottish theme for his wedding, used "Highland Cathedral" and it was beautiful.

Canon in D, it's so beautiful.

haha i also dislike the tradition wedding march, did you know it actually came from a song played for a funeral? o.O

So, canon in D all the way, well, at least i'd want that at my own wedding in the future =]

A friend of mine walked down the aisle to the music only to Bittersweet Symphony by the Verve. It was BEAUTIFUL!!! I am thinking of walking down the aisle to the same song.

I forgot the singer's name but this theme song from the Hollywood movie "The Other Sister" is entitled "AT LAST"

(lyrics: at last
my love has come along
my lonely days are over
and life is like a song
i found the thrill to press my cheek to...)

The "Trumpet Voluntary" by Purcell, accompanied by the organ.
I believe it was played for most of the royal weddings and it's very touching.

Preferably a song that's relevant to you and one you like.

More than likely any song suggested here is not going to make sense, or is horribly cliche and beaten to death.

Pachebel's Canon in D is a perfect example.
