No. If it seemed that way, it would be something else.

Clinical depression requires symptoms that generally cannot be exhibited by newborns or infants. Depressed mood, irritability, lack of enjoyment of regular activities, lack of concentration, excessive or inappropriate feelings of guilt or worthlessness, abnormal weight gain/loss, differences in sleeping, suicidal ideation....

People can, however, be born with a genetic predisposition to mood disorders like depression. The etiology probably has a lot to do with environmental factors as well, which obviously take time over the course of development to accumulate and cause dysfunction.

No, though they can be born with a genetic predisposition to depression, they cannot be born with the disease. Infants can be diagnosed with "failure to thrive," which has symptoms similar to those associated with depression; however, they're not born with the diagnosis. By its definition/symptoms, depression cannot be diagnosed until 2 weeks of behavior/emotion have been observed, so that itself prevents one from having it at birth.

I think it's possible, especially if the birth is traumatic, premature, or some other health problem. Babies are human and if the are uncomfortable they get sad just like the rest of us. Also drug addicted babies go through withdrawls which has to be depressing for them just as it is for any other addict.

God did not make anyone born with any sort of disease. Depression comes from Satan who puts little thoughts in your head, and people let the thoughts in...leading to depression.
