it has many meanings.
The meanings I've heard are..
-that you've killed someone while you were in prison
-that someone close to you had died
-that you've been to jail/juvie
And sometimes, depending on how you wear it...it symbolizes a gang.

Well each tear drop is sopose to mean 10 years in jail. I ones askes a person who had two of them, and that what he answered, he had spent 20 yrs. in jail.

IT USED TO MEAN THAT YOU TOOK A LIFE.....NOW IT PRETTY MUCH SYMBOLIZES THE TEARS YOU CANT CRY BECAUSE THE PAIN IS TOO GREAT (FROM LOSING LOVED ONES)

Usually means you have done jail time and or you have killed someone during said time in jail...

It can mean two things. One you had a close friend or family member die or two you killed someone. Its a gangsta thing i guess.

at one time it was a gang thing indicating you had committed a murder, not to sure what i t means in today's terms.
