Sure but then you also have the 114000 viruses created for IE7 and fam... Firefox is portable... can be used from pretty much any serious OS... Is fully customizable... allows for easy short cut placement... allows for addons that will not block internet access... has such a severe security policy that 4 out of 10 users get blocked from initial install ( although i have to give some credit the first month 7 out of 10 XP users were hurt...
Hmm... I am sure I can put more but I am sure you will get answers soon...
Peace...

i ought to declare whilst IE 7 got here out i grow to be extremely delighted. yet after stumbling upon Firefox 2, I at once fall in love with this browser. for my section IE 7 is extremely constrained suitable to plug-ins/upload-ons, yet Firefox isn't. you're able to do plenty to Firefox. And the browser keeps getting there daily. :)

I have both on my system and I can tell you IE is NOT faster.
Firefox gained it's superiority in the following ways:
Fewer security risks. Anything on Windows is prone to risk, but Firefox is safer. Mainly due to the lack of ActiveX
Faster page load and program load time.
Firefox is fully customizable via add-ons. IE has add-ons, but msot are not free and I've yet to see any that are useful.

IE is faster in downloading but in terms of surfing Firefox is faster. Firefox is more user friendly than IE.

Yah, i was the same as you before, I hated any browser except IE, but now i tried Fire Fox 2, and BAM i love this program. Less security risks than IE, faster than IE, Better download manager, the add ons kick BUTT, ( like free adblocker, free youtube video downloader, etc.) And, its totaly user friendly.

No I do not.
IE 7 is s***. Things are in awkward places, the layout is bulky and god knows what else is wrong with it.
It's just bad bad bad and that's not even knowing all the technical and security flaws it has. I need to switch over quick before I go insane.
