They are all about the same and I have purchased several over the years. AAA is a solid company with a good name. Cheapest isn't always the least expensive.
Just remember that your not buying a "warranty". You are buying an insurance policy against mechanical breakdowns and the breakdown may or may not be covered under the policy, or the policy issuer may send an insurance adjuster to look at the vehicle before authorization for the repair is given.

I heard a car guy on the radio the other day say he thought the extended warranties were really not worth the payment. I think most cars today, if you take care of them and do the maintenance will make it. But for your peace of mind, and I did buy an extended warranty and had very little concern after that, I think AAA is a good company! Long years of reputation and no bad press lately that I know of. Would still talk to your insurance agent if I were you, and also find out about the history of you car (what it's signature problems might be). Also, others, like you are doing here, who have had extended warranties or not.
ps. with my extended warranty I was advised to check on what it DID NOT cover vs what it did cover. That's the reverse of the usual advice. Good Luck.

RE:
AAA Auto Extended Warranty?
I wanted to know whether one would recommend the AAA Auto Extended Warranty. I am contemplating to purchase an extended warranty and wanted some perspectives. If you don't recommend AAA, what other companies do you recommend?

I get bored after a year or two on the same car so getting a long term warranty makes me feel like I must keep the car forever. I am afraid I'd rather buy a nearly new vehicle, offer to pay it in full in cash so I get a deal then use it one year or two then sell it on and get another fresh vehicle. Those warranties cost as much as a vehicl/e and you (with all respect) are sounding like a salesman to me with this question. You aren't selling me a warranty that's for sure!

i purchased one and had pretty good luck with it. i know there are a lot of horror stories about denied claims, but i got one through http://www.autowarrantyone.com/aaa-extended-warranty and saved a LOT of money over the previous ford esp plan i got on my other car. mike is right however, you'll want to make sure you keep all your paperwork and maintenance records handy, they're big time sticklers for that.

Most of the auto manufacturers offer their own extended warranties. I have only one experience with an aftermarket warranty company and it went fairly well. I change my own oil and they wanted proof of the oil and filters that I had used over a couple of years. If you use an aftermarket company and do the work yourself, save the receipts.
