Yeah, that is the symbol sign for straight edge. I'm going to do it but only get one bigger X on my ankle. A common straight edge tattoo is also mixing the words with x's. The history behind straight edge is that teens would put an X on their hand to go to a bar with a group for the music before teen clubs were specifically started. Bar tenders knew not to serve them if they saw an X and it translated into no alcohol, drugs, or smoking. Life long commitment that sadly usually gets broken.
It can mean anything you want it to but that is what straight edge uses as their logo.

It has come to mean Straight Edge but could also mean alcohol from back when XXX was put on bottles of alcohol and poison.
It is a common 'new school' style tattoo.

one x usually on the hand means straight edge. as far as i know anybody who has a XXX tattoo either thinks they are vin diesel or that they are a porn star. either way i'm pretty sure they aren't.

yes. i wouldnt suggest getting XXX tattooed ypu, unless you are absoultely positive you will always be straight edge, and your not some kids trying to be cool!
