Don't listen to them. Here I have the answer.
First of all, Shampoo isn't going to make a differ, no matter what they say. All shampoo is the same, it just has small differice.
What you eat will make a change how your body grows/acts. So eat healthy foods. A good deit helps all, nails, hair, bones, etc.
You may use supplements, but don't over do it, just take a daily multivitamin, like Equate's Women's One Daily With Calcium, Iron & Zinc.
And yes you can Massage you head when you get your bath. Massaging your head gets the blood going and help your hair grow longger and healther.
But you must get your hair's Dead Ends cut off once every 30-40 days. So you hair may grow healthy
It's not just about growing you hair, it's about making it healthy, Whats the use of have long hair if it looks like crap?
Just do this and your hair will start to grow and look much better :)

Good question! About a year ago, I hacked all my hair off (spikey cut) and soon regretted it, deciding to grow it all back out. I initially asked my hair stylist the best way to increase my hair growth rate, and she gave me some very practical ways to help it grow at its maximum level, and come in healthy!
1. Basic vitamin and mineral intake! If you don't yet take them, start! All you need is to buy a bottle of Centrum and take 2 pills per day (1 with breakfast, 1 with dinner). This will ensure your body is getting the proper amounts of essential vits and mins. Vitamin deficiencies are one of the most common reasons for hair loss and unhealthy hair.
2. Don't smoke or use drugs! Smoking and drug use constricts the size of blood vessels, and decreases blood flow to the skin…. including scalp! Foreign chemicals in the body also release free radicals that damage cells. These will include hair follicles! This is another common contributor to hair loss! By quitting, you will allow maximum blood flow to the scalp, which in turn allows maximum hair growth!
3. Massage your scalp! When you find yourself bored, or if you have a headache, or whatever, just use your fingers and give your scalp a firm, thorough massage. Shift your fingers in small, circular movements over your entire scalp. I usually do this at least 4 times a week for about 5-15 minutes. Not only is this relaxing, but it also helps strengthen blood current through the scalp.
4. Finally, go to a professional hair product retailer and purchase Doo Gro brand Medicated Hair Vitalizer (Triple Strength, for severely damaged hair, works best). It comes in a short, round, white container with a black cap. Rub a small amount of this through your hands during hair styling and apply to towel-dried, damp hair. Make sure to massage into scalp. This product "promotes strong, healthy, growing hair", as it reads on the container. It not only repairs damaged hair (in my case being a blonde), but it helps stimulate “lazy” hair follicles.
These are the 4 best tips you can use to maximize hair growth. Unfortunately, there is no miracle that will restore long locks over night, but these daily routines will definitely contribute to fast, healthy hair growth.
I having been using these 4 tips over the past year, and my hair has gone from the 1 inch, gel-spiked style, to shoulder length, luminescent blonde locks, similar to the look of Cameron Diaz! In only a year! That's pretty fast!
Give it a try and let me know how you think everything is working! I’m sure you'll be happy!

There isnt any way that I know of but I have got to say that hair extensions have come a long way. My friend and I tried them last month and we loved them (we had the glue in kind) and now they've come out with the ones that you clip in. I have a few wigs but they are a pain in the butt, Vitamins will always help but long hair takes time! Hang in there.

Eat nuts - high in B5. I won't make it grow overnight, but it might help :-) On average, hair grows about 1 cm each month, so if you're really opposed to hair extensions, figure out how long it'll take! (Mine has grown about 8 cm in 6 months, with a lot of waiting. Lol, its a biatch)

There is no way to make your hair grow faster. There's ways to make it grow healthier, just not fast. Sorry. I have provided you a link below. If you are not ill or pregnant, your hair grows on average of a half to 1 inch per month.

try taking pre-natal vitamins, or vitamins with folic acid. Folic acid is higher in pre-natal vitamins and thats part of the reason why pregnant women's hair and nails grow so fast.

no, it will grow at the rate your body regulates it at. Although hair does grow faster in warmer weather. Move to the Bahamas?
