I have a problem. When I open M.S. Excel 2003, the columns are also numbered 1,2,3..... instead a, b, c.....

What is the problem/ How to rectify it?

In fact, I got a mail containing an excel or lotus 123 attachment. Only from that the problem started.

PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!

First, i would try opening Excel without the 123 sheet and see if it goes back. If it does, then it;s something about 123.

I looked throughout my Excel 2003 options and saw nothing about changin the way colums are labeled, but I do know there is a way to change it. A google turned up nothing as well.

Your preferences are set to an R1C1 reference style (the attachment changed it on you). You need to go to "Preferences" then "General" and then deselect the R1C1 box under "Settings." This solution might be different for you depending on the version of Excel you have so if you can't find it, go to the Help menu and look up "r1c1" and see what your version recommends. You might need to go to the "tools" menu and options. Good luck.
