I have 4 teeth which I know need to be extracted. I have periodontitis and I know they will be pulling one or two teeth at a time as they loosen until I have none. So I would rather just have them all extracted and get a full set of dentures even though I'm only 35. How long will I have to run around toothless? I could probably hide for a couple days, but not much longer.

The dentist will do impressions of your gums with teeth in and pull and replace the same day if you request it. You might have to go back for a reliner as your gums shrink but its better than having to bo without teeth.

A denture can be fitted same day as exo as long as you have had all the try ins, set up & teeth shade made. After extraction your gums will shrink due to bone loss but the denture can be relined to make it fit....bone loss occurs for a period after having your teeth extracted so you may need to have numerous relines over the coming year or so...each reline costs money so ask the question to your dentist so you know what you are up for.

There is good news for you - Your new teeth will be ready for fitting in just a day - maybe two .... That is the way it was with me . and you will be glad you have made the decision to have it done all at one time . If they are the upper teeth - it will be much easier to get used to the new denture . If it is the bottom teeth it may take a little longer to become accustomed to your denture - but before long you will be used to them and enjoying your great smile and good looks .....

FOR A COMPLETE MOUTH EXTRACTION, THE IMMEDIATE DENTRES MAY BE PLACED THE DAY THEY'RE PULLED OUT.THESE WOULD THEN NEEDTO BE RELINED SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER THE EXTRACTIONS.
YOU HAVE TO INFORM THE DENTIST THAT YOU WANT TO HAVE DENTURES WHEN THE TEETH ARE PULLED.THIS TAKES SEVERAL WEEKS.THESE HAVE TO BE PLANNED FOR. YOU DON'T NEED TO GO TOOTHLESS.
