If you buy their thermocup (or any of their cups) and have them fill it everytime you buy a drink?
It might only be one cent, I'm not sure.

Also, does it apply to Frappuccinos and other drinks? Or only hot drinks?
And, is there a certain requirement? like, do I have to buy vente or tall? Because how would they know how much to fill if I order a small but give them a big thermocup?

If you bring in your own mug (no matter where you buy it) you get a 10 cent discount. Most mugs are 16 ouncers, which is a grande. If its less than that then they can figure it out. :) They can pour the coffee into one of their cups then into yours so they know how many ozs it takes. Also, they will put a cold or frap in your cup as well.

i work for Starbucks as well and we give 10 cents off any mug you bring in. like said it reduces waste. and as for the sanitary issue we use shot glasses and nothing ever touches the rim of any cup. Starbucks is great coffee if you actually know what Starbucks does for countries that we buy from you would be impressed. i am a coffee master and study our coffee's daily.
be happy to answer any questions!

I have worked for Sbux for two and a half years and ,yes, this is true. You don't even have to use one of our thermoses. You can bring in one that you bought at Walmart or where ever and we will give you the discount. It helps to reduce waste.

Yeesh. That sounds kind of unsanitary. How does Starbucks know how well the customer did or didn't wash the thing?
