there is a saying that you cant stop birds flying over your head but you can stop them building nests in your beard

what that means is that you will have fleeting thoughts regarding the opposite sex but it is what you do with those thoughts that contribute to a growth in lustful imaginings

someone i once heard of said that when he started to have lustful thoughts abotus omeone was to then turn it into a prayer of thankgiving for that person being part of Gods creation instead of just lusting their thoughts gradually became cleaner over time

struggling means you havent given in on your temptations yet - keep going - and keep trusting the lord for your life

i admire and support your choice to abstain from premarital sex - and i can predict that your marriage once you have found the right person is very likely to be the stronger for it

It may not be possible to stop yourselves from lusting, but what is under your control is the follow through. Up to you what you do after the lusting feeling.

I would say pray and don't put yourself in a situation to help the temptation. We are tempted enough, I say don't add to the fire. Like the saying goes play with fire and you will get burnt. If you know your temptation stay away. Do other things to occupy your time.

I don't stop myself from lusting. If I find that I have a sexual reaction to someone, I note it and go on with my life.

It can be achieved. You need to stay in constant prayer and deny yourself the pleasure of looking at attractive members of the opposite sex. It takes practice, but you can do it with God's help. One thing that I do which helps me is to ask God to enable me to see women as He sees them, as His creation, precious to Him and not the object of my desire. Think of them as your sisters, or potential sisters, people Jesus died for. It's an act of will, and it don't come easy. If you want it though, you can get there. God bless you in your struggle.

Also, there's a technique called bouncing the eyes, which is a learned reflex in which the instant you see something you know you shouldn't dwell upon, you bounce your vision away from it (her). This has to be important to you for it to work.

What are you looking at? Can't lust if you aren't looking. Movies? TV shows, magazines? It's hard I know but at least it's a start.

I don't stop myself from lusting. Lusting is healthy and good for you. Some people use the energy from lust to fuel many creative things.

How you channel your lust is up to you. You can find someone who is willing to jointly exercise their lust with you, or you can channel it elsewhere.
