Depends where you're going to college.

In London Ontario I could get an apartment for $300 a month. And that is for 2007. All depends how close to the school and how many people will be in the apartment. The one I looked into was for 3 students and each paid $300 which is why the utilities were paid. that's $900 a month to the landlord- a good amount for college students eh?

You will need your basic stuff. microwave, mini fridge if you don't know the other ppl and don't want your food ate, a router for internet- only 1 needed for apartment, a small tv for your room, a bed (some come with bed), bedding, plates etc for kitchen, chairs, tables, usually that's it...but you can always add on once you're settled in.

Almost like getting a regular apartment. They usually do credit checks to make sure you're reliable. You'll need an id. Cost: most of the time its first and last months rent + a security deposit which is returned to you once you move.

you will probably need a cosigner to vouche for you because as a college student you probably dont have the credit on your own. Also the price varies on where you are and how much space and 'class' you require. Check out apt finder sites like rent.com or apartments.com
