all of us "four eyes" know what i'm talking about. when you wear glasses that have silicone nose pads a bright green substance eventually shows up around the spot where the pad connects to the frame.

i do believe the substance's color and proximity to mucus is simply a coincidence... but then, what is the stuff? and why is it the only place it shows up? and what gives it the bright green color?

it is corrosion caused by the oils in your body...

your glass frames probably contain some amount of copper and it turns green when it corrodes.

Well it only proves that the gold plating is wearing off and the brass underneath is turning green this can be caused be preseration or the salt in in youir sweat glands ... better to buy the plastic frames with no nose pads ...

hey buddy..i too have spotted that but it seems like some dirt .probably due to exposure .
