Just take a look at what passes for religion in the American South and the answer must be affirmative.

I definately think he was too good for the god of the Old Testament & Paul. Jesus was a very wise man, and most of what he had to say is profitable for living, even if you are not a Christian. Compare that with the horrible nature of the god of the Old Testament, and the nonsense of the sexist, homophobe Paul.

"Affirmative"? Hold on, there, Top Gun! We don't need no smirkin' smarty-panties around these here parts! Jesus drank lots of wine, slept with young men, beat up Jews, rode bareback, cursed fig trees, and even told everyone that if they didn't believe in him, they'd go to hell: how's *that* too good for Christianity?

heck yes he was... i mean look at Christianity before... god (according to them) might as well have been the freakin devil. when jesus entered the picture.. he offered love, something that even god wouldnt give.
