You did not provide enough information. Based on your question, it appears that something may have provoked him to end it with you. What happened? Did you cheat? Lie? Is trust broken? Otherwise, I would just let it burn, if someone does not want you for no good reason, then it's their lost.

Why did he want to end it in the first place? Find out what the cause is.
1) If it is for another girl, then YOU leave him. He's not worth your time.
2)If you think its your fault, then change for the better and let him see the new better version of you.
3)But, if he wants to end it coz he wants some space, then give him the space. You gotta move on with your life. But that doesnt mean he doesnt love you.

If he wants to end it, accept it. The more you chase after him, the less he will respect and desire you. Respect yourself and move on. You can't force what isn't there.
