Is he confused...I am getting mixed signals?
I saw my ex the otherday & he made it a point to tell me he met someone at a party but that he told her he wanst ready for a relationship..then I said so I guess its is really over between us & he said yeah for the most part what do you think & i said no i just think we needed some time or space for awhile & he he said well I can;t promise you that & he said I just cant see forever between me & u...but I could be wrong...is he confused..or am I ? he doesnt call me we talk when i call or sometime he will email me its been a month since he broke it off after 6 years...help

After six years, he's had enough time to consider "the future" and if he can't see you in it by now, then I would say that he's moving on. You should, too. Circulate, meet new people, date, and get on with your life. It's not easy to do after being with someone for six years, but it's the best thing to do.
By the way, I'll bet his story about meeting somebody was a lie. He's probably having as much trouble as you are getting out there, but he didn't want to admit it. His telling you that was a typical guy-thing to try and build himself up. It's not a sign that he might want to get back together...except for some temporary affection. Don't get sucked into that.

I don't think he is confused, but after 6 years he is trying to "let you down easy." That's impossible... a let down is never easy. But be grateful for his honesty... he sees no future! So move on and let him do the same.
