T.J can brush his teeth 20 seconds faster than his girlfriend. If they work together they can brush his teeth in 30 seconds. How long does it take T.J by himself? (wierd, i know)

Disregarding the strangeness of this question, PB's answer is correct. Letting x be the number of seconds it takes TJ to brush his teeth, the formula is:
1/x + 1/(x+20) = 1/30
Solve that for x, and you get PB's answer.

It takes 2 minutes for you to brush your teeth throughly according to my dentist who always tell me to brush it at least 2 minutes.

false teeth has he!! If she brushes them it takes her 60 sec. if he brushes them it takes him 40 sec. so when they both brush she finishes her half in 30 sec. and he has been waiting on her for 10 sec. to finish.
