My friend at Steak n Shake wants me to grow my short hair long and grow a goatee but I'm not so sure its what I want nor what girls want either.

Some guys look cute with MODERATELY longer hair if it's clean, but most guy do NOT look good with ponytails!
Goatees look better on..um...GOATS (hence the name)

Forget the goatee, but you should try growing out your hair. Lots of girls like guys with long hair, but there are a lot less girls who like guys with goatees. Thats my advice. =)

If you do decide to grow it out, make sure it stays clean! If it's greasy looking or stringy, I think it would be better if you kept it short.
I personally like guys with short or shaggy hair. As long as it's not a full beard or just a mustache, I don't mind a bit of facial hair... but, I think I'd rather a clean shaven guy.

I prefer hair that is shoulder length or longer, As well as since that men who like females are more often then not straight, they like long hair because this looks more feminine, as most males have short hair.

i like guys with short hair and no goatee, long-haired guys tend to look untidy

Shaggy maybe, but not long. There are very few men that can carry it off...you maybe one of them, you may not be. Its all in how its taken care of too...
Goatee...umm, definetely! I get pissy when my husband shaves his off...it makes his looks to me.

very long hair is nice but requires servicing and u have to grow this out for a long time

i like longer hair and facial hair... but if you don't want it or like it, don't do it just because a girl wants you to... my fiance keeps his hair short (but he rocks the facial hair) and I can't make him grow it out.
