Do you have a link to the comments? If it pertains to the miraculous 3-week healing of Reverend Haggard, then it can be dismissed, along with all of the other nonsense that Haggard lied about.
I wonder how long it will be for another recovery -- this time for an anti-gay Southern Baptist preacher (on the Southern Baptist Executive Committee) who was arrested for hiring a man for sex, not knowing the man is an undercover police officer! Story below ...

I didn0t read the comments, but I heard he is supposed to be cured after 2 months. Highly unlikely!
In any case, having betrayed his trust, there is no way he should be allowed to do ministry again. Forgiveness does not mean being stupid.
He should at least have to prove himself - which is a Biblical principle. And he needs extra proof now that he has already shown himself to be unreliable.
EDIT:
I just read the letter from the overseers in the church (look up "New Life Church" in Google, and go from there).
The church seems to have handled the disaster very well. They have made it clear that he is out of the ministry, and that it would take years before he could be trusted with any ministry position of any sort again. At the same time, they have provided counselling for him at their cost. They are also generously supporting them till the end of 2007. And, in mutual agreement, Ted Haggard and his wife are attending another church in order to avoid causing confusion and distraction in that church.
So I see firmness, a lot of common sense, together with generosity. Everything I would like to see from a christian church. Go check out their web page for yourselves: I was pleasantly surprised.

I don't know a thing about the New Life church, but if Mr. Haggard has repented, and is now operating in the Spirit, then God has put it into the "Sea of Forgetfullness", never to be remembered. If people are holding him in judgement and God has forgiven him then I would not want to be in their shoes. I pray believing that what ever spirits that he has been hosting, other then the Holy Spirit have been delivered out of his reality. With God All things continue to be NEW. We must remember that satan is the accuser of the brethern, and is also responsible for all spirits of sin. Yes we have free will, and that is where our responsibility starts and stops. We either walk in the fullness of God or we don't.

They have to do damage control. Save face. Not jeopardize the faith of their followers who are innocent.
