Interpreatation of poem............?

Can someone provide a example of an interpretation on poem? I'm trying to write one, with no idea how to start............

Well, I don't have one handy to provide, but I can give you some advice.

First look at the structure. Is it iambic pentameter (10 syllables per line). Identify the rhyme scheme. Is it a sonnet? What kind of sonnet? After you have looked at the form then analyze how the form contributes to the meaning of the poem. Look at stylistic elements like metaphors or conceits. Also note if there is historical or cultural significance. It is helpful to know the authors background and the movement they belonged to.
