I think I am dating a mummies boy. We have been together 2 years and he won't marry me, saying he is not ready. But he says he doesn't know why, he's just not. Then his mother will say something to me like "yes, he always said he wouldn't get married till he was 25".

I had the same problem when I wanted to buy a house, he didn't want one (again just not being ready but not having a reason) and his mother said that "he probably doesn't want that kind of house, and wants this kind of house".

The other thing is kids, she has told me in no uncertain terms that she is not ready to become a grandmother.

If they are going behind my back I will be devistated, but I think maybe that is what is happening. What do you think? And how can I fix this without making him have to "choose"?

Sounds like a mummies boy, loose him! If you feel that way now just think in 5-10 years! My in law was involve in every thing we did and I had to make my husband choose I still feel bad but if I didn't we would not had lasted much longer and that has been 2 years ago! We have been married for 10 years.

He's going to have to cut the apron strings if he wants to be with the love of his life, you'll have to make him choose. He's a grown man, he doesn't need his mummy he needs a wonderful girl like you.

Well i kind of agree its not the greatest thing to runnoft and get married before 25.. but seriously this mom has her nose in the middle of everything. She needs to be tied up and dropped in the middle of a lake. OH yea.. and she's never ever ever going to go away so if you dont like her and cant deal with it, its a gimpse of what you will always have in your life.

He needs to marry mummy, not you. Imagine what you will be up against if you marry him.
Sounds like hell on earth to me.
Find someone else, don't think of it as two years wasted, think of it as tuition:)

the sole ingredient i will advise is which you communicate to them the two and ask them to get alongside to your sake. they do no longer could desire to be perfect acquaintances, yet they could be well mannered. once you ultimately stumble on a woman you prefer to marry you may desire to settle directly to place her earlier to Mummy or you will in no way have a stable marriage. i became into fortunate, my Mum concept my husband became right into a great guy and he or she hated maximum men! i desperate to love my husband's Mum and we've in no way had a combat, we are no longer close, yet we are cordial
