Sit-ups or crunches alone won't conquer the bulge. Abdominal exercises will strengthen the muscles underneath the fat. But you need to do some type of aerobic exercise, such as walking, jogging, or cycling. And watch what you eat!

You can reduce belly fat by doing exercises like walking, swimming and rowing. Such activities help in supplying enough oxygen to the body to burn fat. The healthiest way to prevent a fat stomach is by ensuring that your weight is normal for your height. Ensure that the energy provided by the food you eat matches the energy you burn performing your daily activities. More info at http://www.toloseweight.org/losestomachfat.html

I think you must find an exercise routine that suits you. For instance, i completely dislike a half hour cardio workout, i hate it, and if that is in my routine, i am sure to skip at least 90% of the times.
But on the other hand, i love pilates. Just love it. Ever since i started doing it, i sometimes find time to do it twice a day.
The Marie Winsor Pilates video for buns and thigs is amazing. You can see the result on third day. They also ahve one for the Abs, called Ab Sculpting i guess. Done it only once, liked it. But i dont hae abs problem so i generally do full body sculpting or buns.
Try it, and hope you discover your kind of workout real soon!

A great website to visit is:
http://www.burnthefat.com/?hop=gotryitnow
The site was created by a personal trainer and shows you great ways to lose the weight (especially fat) and keep it off forever.
It also explains to you why most diets you try will fail.
I am 5'7" and was 175 when I started. I've been on this program for 3 months and I've lost a total of 25 lbs.

If you are already on a healthy weight loss diet and doing some exercise, try focusing on situps and abdominal crunches. Start with as many as you can do naturally without exhausting yourself; gradually you can increase them if you do it every day. I lost several inches of fat this way. Because we don't use the stomach muscles that much in our daily lives, we have to give them special exercise like this or they won't be likely to get toned.

Okay, first of all... you cannot lose fat only in a certain area. You lose it pretty much everywhere. But, what you probably mean is that most of your fat stores up on your stomach.
Start eating healthy and start exercising.

There's three components to it. Watch what you eat, create a caloric deficit so eat about 500 calories less a day, to lose 1-2 lbs per week. To core strength training - sit ups, the plank a really good one i find it to hold a stability ball between your feet, lay on your back and lift your feet up while holding the ball and keep your back flat on the ground (big ab worker!!) And finally, include aerobic activity-runing,biking eliptical, stair climing things like that.
Good luck to you

well start off by doing cardio like walking jogging or running to get the heart rate up. Do that for like 30 mins thin you could do some crunches and situps. And the most important thing is watch what u eat.
