My own weight loss solution includes keeping a motivational journal that I made myself with pictures and entries of what I want to achieve. I also weigh myself everyday at the beginning of the day because I can at least see how many ounces I have lost and I make sure that I am moving in the right direction. I no longer eat fried foods, drink soda or juice. When hungry, I eat all types of fruit. Stay away from partially hydrogenated oils found in food. When shopping, I read the back of every package before purchasing. I also exercise about 5-6 times a week. I mix it up because I get bored really fast. My favorite machine at the gym is now the elliptical and I DVR All-Star Workouts on Discovery Health Channel every morning. They have some really fun workouts. I drink lots of water everyday. I have tried so many things in the past and this is really working for me. I used to think that if I just walked more every once in a while it would come off, but it doesn't work unless you change your diet and are serious about it. Good Luck!

Portion control and exersize. Read all packaging on fiid it will tell you what you may think is one serving really may be 3. Write everything you eat down. it's amazing that we often over eat. Drink pleanty of water and burn more calories than you take in, by walking, jumping rope etc... Do this as a life style change not a tempoaray solution.. I have lost 28 lbs so far... You can do it!

A great website to visit is:

http://www.burnthefat.com/?hop=gotryitnow

The site was created by a personal trainer and shows you great ways to lose the weight (especially fat) and keep it off forever.
It also explains to you why most diets you try will fail.

I am 5'7" and was 175 when I started. I've been on this program for 3 months and I've lost a total of 25 lbs.

You don't want to loose more than 2-3 lbs per week. So, in 5 months you could loose about 44-66 lbs, if you were to have a caloric deficit of about 10500 per week!
