#1. Are the Britax fabric covers interchangable? I wanted to order one that is boyish for my son but I'd like to order a girly one to use once he's grown out of it and use it on the same car seat if I have a baby girl next. If so, where do I order them?

#2. Does the Britax Marathon recline? If so, does it only recline in the rear facing position or does it recline it both rear facing AND forward facing positions? I'm guessing only in the rear facing positions?

Any help would be appreciated! Also, are you pleased with your Britax seat? How is the ease of use?

#1 Covers are interchangeable, but I think you can only get the covers from the Britax site.

#2 yes it reclines, but only in the rear facing position. In FF, you really shouldn't try to recline it for safety sake.

I love my Britax, however....I have a Jetta and to door openings are kind of small. The Marathon sits "high" on it's base (compared to other car seats), so I have to be careful not to hit my son's head when I would put him in the car in the rear facing position. My husband's car has a bigger door opening and we have no issues with head clearance.

If you have the latch system in your car this is the easiest car seat to install/uninstall and I wish that all other seat manufacturers did it this way.

Check ebay for buying a new cover...i've seen them on there! Cheaper than going through Britax directly. The seat does recline, but i have'nt reclined mine yet-just recently got it, and it was good the way it was already positioned! I tell you what, my son loves this carseat! It sits up taller than most, and he can see out of the vehicle so much better! Plus, i have the piece of mind knowing that Britax is one of the safest carseats on the market. Overall, i really am pleased with it, and so is my son!

i have one and the answers are yes and yes. for reclining, you only have a few options and it really depends on the car you have because if you fully recline, it might not sit on the seat well. overall i am happy with it. the connections are easy. it is a heavy and bulky unit, so if you will be moving it in/out of the car frequently, good luck
