people that are against vbac have not done the research that i have, it is rare to rupture with the type of cut that i had with my sections. its safe to have a vbac, they just cant assist u at home, only in a hospital not sure about the birthing center

I've had two home births myself wonderful experiences (i despise my hospital birth).........if this is really something you would like to peruse search search search for a midwife they really can be an awesome radical wonderful bunch i don't think it would be to hard to find one willing to help you maybe not as a midwife but as "a friend attending your unassisted birth"lol good luck

It's most likely due to liability issues, but the no matter what the law isn't going to be changed just for your case. So you'll need to decide what's more important: A midwife in the hospital, or a doctor at home. Also, I'm pro-VBAC, but the reality is that there is a higher chance of uterine rupture with the more c-sections you've had, even with a bikini incision, so it might be safer to have your baby at the hospital *just in case*.
No matter what you decide to do, I wish you luck and a happy, healthy baby.

I can understand you wanting to have a comfy homebirth, but in all reality, after having 3 c-sections you should probably give birth in a hospital. A VBAC is risky after having just 1 section...let alone 3. Do some research & talk with your OB. Good luck!!

Why did you need to have the c-sections? Whatever the reason is are you sure that you wont need one again? I can understand your wanting to have a home birth, and I havent done any research, but wouldnt you rather be safe? If it were me I would have the baby in the hospital, with a midwife. If everything goes well, then you can come here and say I told you so. And if it doesnt, then you had the safty net that you needed. Good Luck, all the best to you.

Because anything could go wrong. I would not want a homebirth with someone that isnot a doctor.
I would rather be in the hospital and if something happened atleast their would be a doctor there if i needed emergency surgery (c-section).
If things went wrong what can a midwife really do? Call 911

It is considered to be high risk and a liability. Most insurances will not cover it.
Your state may have a Birthing Center that has medical coverage after c-sections.
Insurance is one reason I chose to be a Doula instead of a Midwife in my state,

The uterus could rupture putting your life and the baby's at risk. No offense but RETARDED IDEA! Do you want to die or lose the baby? Or worse have the baby live to be a vegetable for life from lack of oxygen when the uterus ruptures? WHY on earth would you risk that, don't you have insurance!
