about 15-17% of the world is atheis/agnostic
so that means that 50% of the world believe in a religion that specifically denies the truth of christ..

all these other people in other countries believe in their own country's main religion, just as in America. if you were raised as a muslim in the middle east, most likely you would have died with those beliefs.
Consider yourself, you know that it is highly unlikey YOU would ever convert to some other religion away from yours, christianity.

How can anyone say that those people could go to hell for not recognizing christ? do people really think that the 50% of the world who believe in another religion sinnfully chose the religion bestowed upon them by their parents/culture?

If you were raised a Christian in America, most likely you would have died with those beliefs. Consider yourself. You know that it is highly unlikely that you would ever convert to some other religion away from yours, that being Christianity.

So how can you be sure that your religion is even correct, since that's all that you have known since it was first taught to you? 67% (your statistic) of people think that you're the one who is wrong. But of course we don't think you chose the religion bestowed upon you by your parents and culture..

No. I don't believe that people will go to hell for believing in the faiths of their parents, and grandparents. I've often wondered about this. With how much legitimacy can someone walk into another person's culture and demand that they throw away generations of their native faith to follow theirs?

I realize to most evangelicals the Bible is enough to make this acceptable. But what of people who don't believe in the Bible? Why should they value it above their own holy books or stories? Many people of other cultures have found beauty and truth in Christianity, but there are many who haven't, who have found that beauty and truth in their own faiths. Who is anyone, Christian, Atheist, Buddhist, Wiccan or whatever to tell them that they are just plain wrong to follow the faiths of their ancestor's?

How would a religion retain its followers if it allowed that another religion was equally as valid? It's survival logic for religion, or more specifically for those in the upper ranks of religious power hierarchy, to ensure their followers that any other faith is not the one true path to survival.
I agree with you - I am just pointing out the corporate rationale behind religious dogma. BTW, if you want to understand why someone or something behaves the way it does, it often helps to look to see who benefits from the rule enforcing that behavior.

I prefer saying 3 percent of the America is atheist makes me feel more like a rebel haha. But christ said they do so I suppose thats why people think that. How could anyone believe in a man made god? Is the question you should be asking.

in my opinion being a christain, 33% is a huge form concidering the size of the international! sure some persons are in the incorrect, on a similar time as others could no longer be broughten as much as be a christain and that they are too youthful to settle on which faith they easily should be? or perhaps in springing up international locations they cant pass to church or beleive because of the fact some dont be responsive to or because of the fact they are too busy attempting to stay to tell the story! I easily have a great existence and that i beleive yet while i've got been in different peoples situations i dont be responsive to if i could desire to surely beleive if i've got been undesirable, abused, raped etc.. it may be complicated.. becuase i could think of if there became right into a god why could he permit this take place? i be responsive to i be responsive to.. i cant communicate for human beings yet im in simple terms asserting! im 18 and became into abused while i became into youthful then as quickly as I have been given help i became a christian because of the fact absolutely everyone became into so impressive and easily helped me get with the aid of my soreness i assume some arent as fortunate! im very grateful for my existence and my atmosphere!

I don't know any Christians. If you're talking about church people, well okay.

As for Hell, you will go to Hell simply for not believing that Jesus rose into the sky like a gentle balloon.

He rose into the sky with his earth body, and now he is the only one in Heaven with an earth body. Also, he still has the clothes.

If there is any of this you don't believe you go to Hell. If you don't agree go ask the church people.

They misinterpreted Christ's message, for example Buddhists can go to nirvana or Hindu's can break the cycle of Samara (birth/death) Christians are resurrected and Jews carry on their bloodlines by maintaining their traditions on earth. There are many paths to salvation, for Christians its through Christ for Muslims its another route

Since when has religious doctrine taken anything into account? Maybe we could convince the Christians who believe they should spend every waking moment trying to convert others that the other countries NEED them. We could hold big fund-raisers, we'll call it "Non-Christians for Jesus" and then send them away swelling in the knowledge that they led us to Jesus. Then we would be free of them.

It's a matter of trust. The word says that all will be preached all over the world and the end will come....so, all will hear.

In truth, God will single out to reward only those who have truly believed in him, and have performed their part during their life on this earth in his remembrance and worship, regardless of their affiliation to a particular religion.

These will be the true winners! All other will be losers!

We can only hope that God has chosen us to be part of this elite group of people!

Salam!
