You can try walking dogs. once you turn 15 you might be able to volunteer at a shelter, depending on their policies. It is difficult to find jobs when you are under 16. Trust me I know. I tried but finally gave up.

Another Idea is to have a bake sale/ lemonade stand. Me and my sisters baked all week, made poster signs and decided how much we should charge for each baking good. Any age is perfect for this job!
Another good job is to start a walking dogs for neighbors that have dogs. You can either put up posters around town, or hand out fliers to people you know that have dogs. I would charge 5 dollars per dog.
Another good job is to wash cars, or open a car wash buisness with friends for a few days, mow the lawn, shovel drive ways in the winter, and help people clean there house that might need help.
You could also work at fast food restaurtants, or grocery stores too

There are some good suggestions above - but remember the government restricts businesses from hiring below certain ages. That age is different in different states - find out what the age is in the state where you live. If you are below the legal age to work/get a work permit, then you will have to do things that are not reported - like walking dogs for individuals - because you won't be able to get a paid job such as working at a shelter (because they report to the state and can't legally hire anyone below the minimum age requirement).

Pet sitter (when people are away.... you check in on em feed em etc each day ) Its actually a full blown Job in California and not just for kids.. adults here make a living off this (no kidding)
or dog walker? But because of child labor laws yer gonna need a work permit at that age (14) in any state to be legal (not that difficut really ask yer school counselor they can set you up with that...)

In order to walk dogs, make sure you carry a water bottle for the dogs. Many people hire those with some knowledge of dogs to be a dog-sitter when they go on vacation.

Maybe try starting up a pet-sitting or dog-wallking service? Another option would be to volunteer to walk or play with dogs at a local animal shelter. (depending on their policies about how old you have to be or not) It doesn't pay anything, but it's really worth it to know you're making a difference (it's fun, also!)
Good luck!

Put flyers around the neighborhood for dog sitting. People go out of town, and also on vacation and they need some one to come and feed their dog, and play with their dog, 1-2x per day. you can make about $20-25/day. Make flyers about what kind of services you can provide them and pass the flyers around.
