well games you could put on a dog show in your house or back yard, and have some kids be the judges and give the winner a prize(like treats for the owner and dog(recipe for homemade dog biscuits to follow) My kids(dogs) love these and easy to make
Very simple and dogs love them!
Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 20 min
Temperature: 375 F
Ingredients: 2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup skim milk or 2%
Cooking Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
In another bowl, mix peanut butter and milk.
Add wet mixture to dry, and mix well.
Turn out dough on a lightly floured surface and knead. Roll out to 1/4-inch thick and cut out shapes.
Place on a greased baking sheet and bake 20 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool on a rack then store in an airtight container.
Makes 30 large bones
Good luck....

Skip the party.. yer Pup could care less.. get him some tasty food tidbits.. that they will actually like...
what the hell is it with people assigning human attributes to non humans...
I really dont have a problem with you have a silly party for no reason what so ever (Lordy knows I've certainly done that myself before) But Hey leave the pup outta it OK? thats just .. (whats a nice word?) SILLY?
Get yer pup some new toys.. and some good snacks.. and let em skip the party you have planned.. thats the best bet fer yer pup.. have yer own party.. dont subject him/her to that .. its just not right... have yer own party... dont blame it on the dog (SHEESH! the more people I meet the less I like them)
And if you really want dog games.. and you really are silly enuff for all this there are two( actually there are 3 but I cant discuss the other one in here) VERY big doggie games.. that the dogs will actually enjoy...
# 1. Sniff that Butt
# 2. Hump that leg
Addendum: Oh and BTW i have a pup.. and old School 27 LB Pom (before idiots shrunk um to 7 lb toys) Hes a pup and thats that.. he terats me like a human and i treat him like a pup and we get along great... we are different and we both know that.. anyone that dosent is well STUPID?

First off, is this "guest" also a canine or a fellow human being? If there are going to be more puppies present, try games like "Who Can Find the Treat First?" or how 'bout a spin on Simon Says called "Owner Says..." with "Owner says stay...sit...etc." If there are no other pets but yours, then have all human guests line up and call your puppy to them, and see who it goes to. Definitely provide snacks for all species attending. Also try a game of fetch with both dogs and humans alike. Hope this helps. Enjoy! and have fun too. Your puppy will love you for life.

I think it's great that you're throwing a party for your puppy. Do you plan on having any of his or her friends at the party? The only game I can think of would be fetch. I wish I had more ideas. If I think of more, I'll tell you.

At my dog's obedience school Christmas party, we played biscuit eating comps (first to finish a bowl of food), musical sit, obstacle course relay and a fancy dress competition. The organisers gave out lucky dip prizes for the winners (dog toys and treats). Hope this helps.

Ooh!
Sounds like fun!
How about dress up.
I you're having all of the guests bring their dogs as well you could have them bring their dog in it's own outfit and then take a vote on which is the best.
You might want to also go to a park with hula hoops and see which dog (or just your dog) can jump through the hoops.
Set up an obstactle course!
Have fun!

Hm. You could always set up a small obsticle course and have people run their dogs through it.
My 'dane turns 2 in May. I intend to have him a party and let his friends come over. They'll have a cake to wallow in and a cake to eat. That'll be about it. lol

How about:
--Scavenger hunt, Have owner and dog find different items (treats that you hide) the ones that finds the most wins.
--Make paw print orniments, take plaster of paris (sp?) and make it into smal circles and have the owner put the dogs paw in it and then poke a hole so they can string ribbon threw it when dry so they can hang on their tree on the holidays.
