a biology degree is a very challenging one to achieve. look at college requirements for biology majors. usually you need 3-4 years of a foreign language, and a good math and science background is very important.

Do you mean the high school requirements to go to college to get a biology degree, the requirements in college to get a degree, or just general things to study for someone who wants to mentor/apprentice with a biologist?

In high school, I went through calculus and took biology courses every semester. Obviously science is important, math is as well, I had to have calculus and statistics for my college degree of zoology. Had to have several semesters of history and philosophy classes and two years of foreign language.

Biologists need a lot of science like A&P, Kinesiology, Zoology, and Physics and giving the nature of the degree you need to take classes towards that concentration.

Like everyone else said, science and math classes are a must. Also take Latin in high school, if you can. It's a big help.
