Humans - because they can make up words which makes them the bestest and mostest cleverest.

If you don't include humans, and by cleverness you mean a degree of self awareness, I would go for chimps and dolphins, maybe elephants. Otherwise the insects are probably more perfect in efficiency of design, one day they may get a real hive mind off the ground and then... it will be B-movie time!

go the sloth what a life! slow, easy and has its own algae growing on its fur. only comes down off the tree to poop. gets to sleep all the time and can be ugly smelly fat what ever and still get laid. come to think off it they are probably so quite cause they know more than they let on.

Well since humans are mammals which are techinaclly animals, i would say humans.

Snakes, of course.
They have NO LIMBS or FINS and everybody's scared of them! Kind of like curse words.

Chimpanzee followed by the dolphin...but I don't know why, brain size to body size ratio, something to do with that....
