...maybe for the structure or scenery....would the ceremony still be traditional and blessed?

Depending on the religion of the church, they do have rules...So some wont let you just get married there, or you will have to pay a high non member fee. Now if you find one that maybe a friend or relative belongs to, that may give you an in...That's what i did to get the church i wanted...Look around your area and go inside and look, talk to people there and see what the rules are...

I guess it depends on your religion. I know you can "rent" a church (with permission of course) and then hire a justice of the peace to do the ceremony.

If you are Catholic they may have there own traditions for blessing the marriage talk to a priest or minister.

it will depend on a lot of things. My fiancee and I are no religious btu we still wanted a lovely church background. Bottom line is for most churches you are going to have to do several things such as couseling/classes, possibly attend their services, and if it is a Catholic church recieve rites etc. Most churches do not really 'rent' themselves out I have found and want people to become members in good standing. I however found a Swedenborgian Church that will marry us in a semi-traditional ceremony that we wanted. they are also very helpful in making the ceremony as we went. Search for one in your area and call them. Dont give up though!!!

Yes, my daughter did this. She found a beautiful church, and she and her fiance went and were interviewed by the pastor. They needed to show their sincerity and commitment in order to get him to perform the ceremony. They attended services for a few months.

By the way, the church looks magnificent in the wedding photos. I am very happy she chose it.

Yes you can and yes it will i ran into a problem with the minister not wanting to marry me and my husband because we didnt attend that church
most of the time if you already have a minister they will rent a room or the church out to you

It depends on the church. Sometimes you have to be a member, sometimes they will allow anyone to be married in their church, and sometimes they ask that you attend classes at their church before getting married there. Each church/denomination is different.

Best wishes

sure can. I doubt if any of them would turn you down as long as you are willing to pay them.

Church, in your house, in the local mall, in the bath tub together and any other place you can think of will do just as well.

It is not the site that counts. It is what you say in your vows before your god, bride, and whomever happens to be there that matters. It is what is in your heart that counts not what is in the minds of others.

Please ask the churches in your local area. Your marriage will still be blessed, and traditional.
