For your age, there is no better preparation for NASCAR, and the more sophisticated IRL or F1, than carting. All of these racing venues require those that have the best hand-eye coordination. Carting maximizes that skill. You can graduate to bigger cars in a couple years when you're 16. By then you'll have your license and I'm sure you'll be testing your driving skills on your dads car. At your age though you'll be best noticed for you skills in carting. I don't know where you live or how far you have to drive to compete in carting but you'll be best served by going to most competitive carting tracks to compete against the best. You'll then know if car racing is something you want to pursue. We all have visions of competing in professional sports but very few of us actually follow through with our dream. It's there if you're willing to make the necessary sacrifices. Go for it!!!

Ok, first of all, because I grew up in Mooresville, NC (where Dale and tons of other Nascar drivers live) I would recommend getting some training under your belt when you can, like going to Nascar Technical Institute (in Mooresville) or some other UTI (Universal Technological Institute) and then get connections, get to know people, go to the racing companies, talk to people and do no matter what it takes to get there. Start with oil changes and work up from there. And... until then, if you have any other questions, ask me, I know more than I want to about Nascar...

World of Outlaws and thinks like that. That would be best bet. Go to your local track and race and if you are good get recognized. Or you could do what Carl did and make business cards with your picture on it

You can do what Mark Martins son is doing. Try the Legend series, that is where Reed Sorenson came from. ARCA and is also another series you can try to.
