me and my girlfriend both claim to be in love and i think that we truly are. it seems like though when we argue we cant ever come to a resolution and its difficult. its hard for us both to get over eachothers past and that causes drama. i love her and dont want to be without her cause itd kill me but at the same time i want to get away from it for awhile. should we take a break and if so how should i approach it.

if you cant accept what the other has done in the past then neither one of you is ready for a relationship. your claim of being in love is, what i feel, more of an excuse for not being alone. learn to accept people for who they are, past and all. it made them who they are today. so yes you need a break, a long break. show this to her she just might agree with you...

That's really a hard question to answer, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway.

I'm in the same situation, sort of. My boyfriend and I have split up 3 different times because he can't get over my past, which causes drama (drama is not good in a relationship, which you already know). When we get back together, it's all good for about the first 2 or 3 months, then it goes right back to the same ol' thing, and then some! For the time that we were apart, he accuses me of being with other men, and that causes even MORE drama! Because of this, I still love him, but I'm not IN LOVE with him any more.

So, take my experience and filter out what you think you want to do. Maybe splitting up for a little while will help your relationship; but if it turns out that it has added EXTRA drama to the relationship when you get back together, run and never look back. Hope this helps! Good luck!
