I was at a sleepover and my friends were getting high and i could smell it pretty strongly for so long. Will this effect anything in my system? I haven't smoked or anything before but if I get tested what do you think the outcome would be?

i wasnt in the same room nor did i have any contact with it, i just could smell it

Negative. I was around someone who smoked it around me all the time at least every day. Then a drug test popped up at work and I thought OH NO I don't get high but I'm going to lose my job. Well, after a week or so of worrying, the test came back negative. Don't worry, I was exposed daily for like a year and since I didn't inhale, I was squeeky clean.

It depends on how intense the screening test is. If you are talking about a long time exposure, it's possible. Reason being is that a fellow sailor went out on the town a few months ago and was exposed for a long period of time as well, and as luck would have it the next day was his turn for the screening. Well anyway he popped positive, and he was discharged from service. We have a policy that if we are in that environment, we need to leave just for that reason. If that policy is in place, it must be known to cause positive readings.

My husband said that it's possible, but it would have to be a really good test. He said that when they inhale the smoke, their lungs take over 90% of the THC and other stuff out. Might I add from my own opinion that if you were in the same room right next to them, though, your chance would be higher because there would be smoke in the air that hadn't been previously inhaled.

I think you should be ok. Even if it got in your system I am sure it wouldnt show up in a day or two on a drug test. Did you feel like you got a contact high?

in high school i got in trouble they drug tested me on probation. i didn't smoke but was around it i never failed a test. they gave me a year probation i got off with six months. i didn't even fail the courts drug test. the school cop ask had i smoked it and i said yes. I'm to honest. i haven't smoke in over 5 years.my point is it can lead to trouble and you might want to find some new friends its fine to talk to your friends now but tell them you don't want to be around it. if that's what they do explain why your not coming to sleep overs or outing that they do that at.

NOPE, with small traces like that you could only be caught within 24 hours . Generally I used to smoke erb almost everday and I would get away with alot of **** tests because of my fast metabolism, but if i were you I would take a puff or two mabye so you can just sit there and Zone out to some Greatful dead or led zepplin you know its always fun to jam out with the guitar and just get into the groove and just float onnn maann

Not a 100% sure on this one. It may have gotten into your system... a lot of companies now a days require your hair to be tested. Hair is a good sample of what's in your system...

Its possible that your test will not be "clean". Just drink lots of water, and in 2 or 3 weeks, all will be fine. As long as you aren't around it in the meantime.

I asked the same question (just curious) to the woman giving me a pre-employment drug test. She told me that just being around it will not be a problem. They can tell if you participated or not.

I am not a pro. on this topic but I don't believe you would test positive for it. If in doubt go to Rite-Aid and buy one of the home testing kits.
