If yes, do they have the same effect - in other words, do they work? I have a bottle of tylenol and aspirin that expired Nov of 05 and March of 06

most medications are good 2 years after the expiration date on the bottle. the only problem being that they are less effective.

i would stick with the meds that expired in 06 if you are unable to go get new medication. the one that expired in 05 i would toss out-the chances of it still being effective are slim.

If they're that old they really should be thrown out if they are that old. If it's just expired by say a month or two, it should be still alright to use them.Check out this website. It doesn't talk of tylenol etc, specifically but hope it helps.

Those will probably be ok although a new bottle would be better.
Medicines are a mixture of different things and the reaction between the mixture can cause them to change into something they aren't suppose to be. They are too cheap to take chances.

Good luck. Pops

I used to work for a drug company, and by FDA regulations, all medications have to be just as effective for 1 year past the expiration date. After that, toss them!

They are o.k. Most medicines are good years and years after the expiration date, maybe over 10 years. Exceptions are liquid medicines and nitroglycerine.
