I get those from time to time, seems to be the more on edge of stress I am the more likely I am to get them. A good thing I figured out is that while i'm having one i drink a bit of water and it speeds up the duration so it's a shorter attack. For the next week or so try to relax, stay away from heavily sugared and caffinated beverages. I find caffiene will upset it if you are stressed and will help to cause one. Try getting a lavendar scented candle and light it while you are stressed out as well (just keep an eye on it, unattended candles aren't good!), that is a soothing scent.. should help you reach some equilibrium. I don't take any medication for mine, pft.

It is common for people to have one in their lifetime. Some people have frequent panic attacks however. In my own case, I had a panic attack a few months ago and never had one since. It depends on the person. If you were prescribed something for it, then you shouldn't have another one but in my personal opinion, you shouldn't have been prescribed anything unless you've had more than one. But I'm not a doctor so I can't really say. Anyway, good luck to you with that.
