Report: Gulf states give Israel ok to use airspace for strikes against Iran

Despite the Bush's insistence the US does not have plans to go to war with Iran, a Pentagon panel has been created to plan a bombing attack that could be implemented within 24 hours of receiving permission from the President, The New Yorker reported. Meanwhile, on Sunday a Kuwaiti daily reported that Oman and the UAE would allow Israel to use their airspace should it decide to launch preemptive strikes against Iran.

Gulf states to let Israel use airspace
Israel requested permission from the United States to fly through Iraqi airspace, in case Jerusalem should decide to attack Iran's nuclear facilities, a Ynet article reported, citing a report Saturday in the Daily Telegraph.

A senior Israeli defense official said negotiations were underway for the US to provide an 'air corridor' over Iraq.

However, Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh denied the report Saturday and said any talk of an Israeli offensive against Iran was speculative alone.

Sneh said the reports apparently came from sources that did not want to uphold responsibility for the diplomatic inaction regarding Iran's possible nuclear armament.

The Israeli defense official who spoke to the Telegraph said Israel was "planning for every eventuality, and sorting out issues such as these are crucially important."

"The only way to do this is to fly through US-controlled air space. If we don't sort these issues out now we could have a situation where American and Israeli war planes start shooting at each other," he added.

Meanwhile, on Sunday the Kuwaiti daily al-Siyassah reported that the Gulf states of Oman and the UAE would allow Israel to use their airspace should the Jewish state decide to launch preemptive strikes against Iran. The report quoted European and Arab diplomats.

The newspaper also quoted a Pentagon official said saying that Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan would assist Israeli raids on Iran

Any attacks on Iran would be limited and not a full scale assault / invasion. Attacks would be directed at any and all suspected Nuclear facilities including suspected underground manufacturing holds.

HOWEVER - If we do even a limited strike, Russia and China will respond in kind with possible attacks on US soil. Russia has a standing obligation to Iran to defend Iran and Syria and their assets and Islamic interests.

BUT - if no one stops Iran - they will at some point launch nukes on anyone they deem not of Islamic interest - and try to follow through with wiping Israel off the map.

In other words - this is a case of "Damned if we do, damned if we don't". Either way - world war 3 starts. One way - it starts sooner. The other way its delayed but by no longer than it takes Iran to start throwing nukes at its neighbors.

The Pentagon has a battle plan on file to attack Canada too, does that mean we are planning on attacking them?


Why would israel want to use Oman and UAE airspace to attack Iran ? Oman is almost 1,300 miles from Israel, when Iran is only 500 miles from Israel.

With tensions going up in the area, it only makes common sense to update battle plans on file.

The Israeli's are conscious that Obama has wavered in each and every single place whilst it includes something interior the midsection East. Israel is uncertain what, if something he would do could they wait to strike Iran's nuclear centers, so if Obama is elected i think of they're going to strike in the previous Obama would take place of work. If one believes Biblical prophecy, there are passages than would be interpreted because of the fact the destruction of Persia and the city of Damascus in Syria which will close to the tip circumstances. I certainly have continuously believed Israel could be the country to start up a nuclear conflict because of the fact of continuous threats from the Arab international. Many Israeli leaders are leery of Obama because of the fact of his Muslim historical past by using his father.

It is a matter of time before the US send its troops to Iran. The US is trying to eliminate all the anti-American forces in the Middle East. In order to destroy Iran's nuclear facility, the Israeli air force need to fly over Iraq. The US is not about to let the Israeli attack the Iran's nuclear facility all they want.

Haven't you heard the...."wipe Israel off the face of the earth remark". Someone needs to get a hold of that guy and fry him. If his country gets attacked the blood will be on his hands.

There will be no large-scale war. Iran is all bark, with little bite.

However, the Israelis will closely moniter the situation, for the benefit of not only their country, but the stability of the Middle East.

Finally, the more stable Arab countries realize that with Israel in their midst, there will be U.S. support against terrorist activities in the region.
