Because it makes you vulnerable, especially if it's the first time it's being said in a relationship.

Affection, and love for someone are two totally different things.
Love is a very strong word, and you should only say it when you truly feel it. It gets thrown around all too often, mostly because I don't think people understand the difference between love and lust.
Think long and hard before saying it, because once its out there you can't take it back

There is a difference between affection and love. Love is a commitment towards one another, affection is just a feeling. When I get married and tell my husband that I love him, I want it to be special, and not something that I've said to every guy I have slightly felt affection for.

If we've been given rid of each and every of the untrustworthy politicians with sexual needs i do no longer think of there could be many left, this guy in simple terms befell to get caught. I accept as true with Kelly and had that comparable concept in the time of the Clinton scandal, no longer something extra advantageous than a handy distraction and media feeding frenzy.

Love is a promise-- it should be taken seriously && not thrown around like a hot potato... some do some don't. I cannot [[personally]] be with someone who is not serious about those words. A moment of affection is different from deep, passionate love.

Feeling affection for someone and loving someone are very different things. I feel affection to my boyfriend's parents, but I wouldn't tell them that I love them. It might be too strong of a word.

It's ok to express how you feel. Just that some ppl dont feel comfortable with the LOVe word. I think it often, tends to scare ppl away. Everyone reacts different to it. So, I guess it really depends on who is saying and what their intent is..

So many people on here are too young to know love. It is a word thats just thrown around and the true meaning is so much more.
