Drink fluids, preferrably fresh juices(orange, apple, etc.). Jell-o and soup are good too. Basically anything that isnt hard. The good thing about this is that if you do it correctly, you can loose a couple of water weight lbs.

Many people experience very little or no discomfort after a root canal - maybe some tenderness/irritation at the ends of the roots, more common if there was a lot of infection present before the procedure. Once the freezing comes out, you should be able to eat what you want. You may want to go a little easier on the treated tooth and chew on the other side. You will be able to tell if you are up to eating solid foods.

Soft foods like jello, custard soups and drink shakes (you don't want to eat anything you have to chew on for a couple of days) then gradually restart your normal diet. Good Luck!
